Welcome

Hi  & Welcome,

I'm new to the blogging world, but I thought I'd give it a shot & see if I like it. I'm Carolyn from West Virginia & transplanted to Lubbock, Texas 6 summers ago. I always wanted to live in Tx & now that I'm here I can't wait to go home. LOL Isn't if funny how life throws kinks at you like that.

Now not that Texas is all that bad... this area has some wonderful restaurant, great shopping & wide open spaces. The wind is always blowing slightly - sometimes it's a small breeze other days it's harsh gusts. I've heard the joke here that you can watch your dog leave you for 2 days - yes it is that flat.

Any direction you look - you can see 12 miles until the curve of the earth makes the
view drop off. Of course inside the city limit's it isn't like that. You can get just about anywhere in the city in 20 minutes. Of course when Texas Tech is in session it takes a bit longer.

Summers are a blessing here cause the 30 thousand + college kids leave!
Talk about a major relief in traffic.
One day you're crowded shoulder to shoulder & the next everyone magically goes away.

I've been selling vintage for about 4 years online. I really enjoy it. Now don't get me wrong it's not simple work, but it's not back breaking either. Not only do I sell it, I collect it as well. I have over 200 pairs of vintage shoes - that belong to me personally. :) No my husband isn't thrilled about it, but he has his hobbies so he leaves me alone.

Alright - gotta run for the night, but I'll be back!
